Guess it is time to get with the blog program. Should have started this the day I arrived in Chicagoland...but now it is going to go backwards, sometimes forwards, etc. I need to catch up on all I have learned whilst living in the land of the snow and cold. Briefly, my newest Chicago moment was tonite...and it is all about the signs one sees on the sidewalks of Chicago...BEWARE of falling ice!!. Man, they were not kidding. A (hopefully) last of the season winter storm blew thru here very very early on Sunday morning - today it warmed up into the upper 30's!!! yowza. On the way back back to my very vintage apt (two blocks) from the Grill at the Westin I passed by the Hancock Tower and it was hurling ice rocks at me - at a pretty constant rate. And those ice pieces were not just little....would NOT want to be hit in the head by a 4 inch piece of ice slicing thru the atmosphere (the Hancock Tower is WAY up in the atmosphere) at who knows what rate of speed. I made it home safely. Once again.
